Accenture completes Einr AS acquisition

OSLO, NORWAY — Accenture has announced the completion of its acquisition of Einr AS, an Oslo-based firm specializing in high-volume logistics solutions using SAP technologies.
This acquisition strengthens Accenture’s SAP supply chain capabilities in the Nordic region, particularly within the retail and consumer electronics industries.
The financial details of the deal, initially disclosed on April 28, 2023, remain confidential.
The deal sees 42 Einr staff join the Accenture SAP Business Group in the Nordics. The new team members will enhance Accenture’s competencies in retail and supply chain management, transportation management, warehouse management, and assortment planning. The acquisition is anticipated to expedite the supply chain reinvention process for retail and consumer electronics companies that are active in the Nordic region.
Founded in 1951, Accenture is among the world’s most acquisitive company having bought 282 firms. Of these acquisitions, 161 happened in the past five years.
The value of its recent purchases have not been disclosed. According to Mergr, Accenture’s most significant acquisition was in 2013 when it purchased Procurian for $375 million. The company’s highest reported sale was in 2015, when it sold Navitaire to Amadeus IT Group SA for a sum of $830 million.
