Accenture acquires Bourne Digital

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — Global professional services powerhouse Accenture has acquired Bourne Digital, a Melbourne-based digital design agency specializing in the SAP Business Technology Platform. The specifics of the deal remain undisclosed.
Bourne Digital’s expertise is crafting experience-driven applications that streamline workflows and introduce automation. This acquisition amplifies Accenture’s SAP offerings, particularly in sectors such as consumer goods, financial services, resources, health, and travel.
Established in 2015, Bourne Digital has a strong presence in Australia with offices in Sydney and Brisbane. Its 66 employees will join the Accenture SAP Business Group in Australia.
“In times of disruption, organizations need to digitize business processes in an increasingly compressed timeframe to become more creative, competitive and profitable,” commented Matt Coates, Technology lead for Accenture in Australia and New Zealand.
Meanwhile, Bourne Digital’s CEO, Selim Ahmed, expressed his enthusiasm for the merger, stating that it allows them to scale to meet the emerging needs of SAP customers globally, thereby supporting Accenture’s growth in Australia.
This acquisition marks Accenture’s further expansion into Australia’s SAP industry. In 2020, Accenture reportedly acquired SAP firm Zag for $45 million.
Accenture recently ranked #1 in the Time Doctor OA500, an index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing firms and a vital tool in assisting the BPO decision-making community.
