Global IT consulting company Accenture is buying Zielpuls, a German technology consultancy that designs smart products and services for different industries. The deal boosts Accenture’s ability to develop smart products and services for the high-tech, automotive, medical technology, and industrial equipment industries. The Zielpuls acquisition is Accenture’s latest in a series of M&As. The company also bought France-based Google Cloud Platform services provider Cirruseo and Spanish brand communications agency Shackleton. Accenture seeks to spend USD1.5bn this year on acquisitions focused on digital, cloud, and cybersecurity. Accenture said Zielpuls had developed the IT architecture of a top transportation company to operate high-speed trains, and the architecture for driver assistance systems. Andrew Smith, managing director and Accenture Industry X.0 lead in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Russia, said Zielpuls will help Accenture develop “an organization that can co-create and reimagine smart connected products and services with clients from ideation through production.”
