BPOs, manufacturing remain top employers in Central Luzon
A report released by online job site JobStreet.com showed that business process outsourcing (BPO) companies and manufacturing continued to be the top employers in the entire Central Luzon region. The BPO sector accounts for 46% of jobs in the region. It is also the main employer for fresh graduates, followed by manufacturing and banking. The report said 67% of new college graduates are now working in the BPO and call center industry. Employment opportunities are also available in retail (8%), building and construction (6%), and banking (4%). The report added that Central Luzon currently has 3,000 available jobs in various industries. Most of the jobs are in Pampanga.
