Cebu BPO firms to form their own association
Locally owned outsourcing companies in Cebu will soon have their own association, according to Performance 360 Global Services founder Michael Cubos. The new organization will be part of the clusters of the ICT/BPO business group that the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry wants to create. The local BPO group will become the voice of the small and medium-sized outsourcing or IT companies operated and owned by Cebuanos. Cubos believes the country’s IT/BPO industry should be capitalized by Filipino entrepreneurs as its potential is huge and sustainable. At present, local outsourcing and ICT companies are not formally organized as a group, except that most BPO companies are also members of the IBPAP national organization.
