Fortinet, AWS appoint new Philippines country managers
New country managers have been appointed for the Philippine operations of enterprise security firm, Fortinet, and cloud provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS). Mario Luis “Louie” Castaneda was appointed to oversee Fortinet operations, while Stephen “Tep” Misa will look after AWS. Both Castaneda and Misa were former country managers of the local office of global network equipment maker, Cisco. Castaneda succeeded Misa as country manager when the latter’s term expired in 2014. Prior to Fortinet, Castaneda worked as senior sales and channel management officer in technology companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Oracle and Fujitsu. Castaneda, an electronics engineer by profession, was engaged in systems and network engineering, IT planning and design, presales and technical consulting earlier in his career. Misa joined Voyager Innovations and Smart Communications, part of the PLDT Group, as vice president after leaving Cisco.
