Infosys Expands Its Footprint in PH
The India-based technology major, which is also listed on the NASDAQ, plans to increase its presence on the archipelago.
They currently have 1,100 staff who work at Taguig City. Ritesh Idnani, the Chief Operating Officer of Infosys BPO, states that the company plans to hire 1,900 more personnel to take their headcount to 3,000.
Global Head Madhusudan Menon adds that they were also looking at adding three more delivery centers around Metro Manila. Quezon City, Clark and Pampanga have been shortlisted, and one center will become operational by the end of the calendar year. This, according to Menon, will help the company’s revenues grow by 100%.
For the last financial year, their books showed $23 million in revenue.
Infosys has delivery centers in Brazil, Poland, China, Mexico, Thailand, India, the Czech Republic, Brazil and the United States. Their Philippines operations account for 5%-6% of their global revenues, which amount to $316 million. Idnani says that they would like this figure to be around 8%-10% of the total.
They have 17,400 staffers on their payrolls worldwide, and serve 80 clients. Their work involves finance and accounting, legal process outsourcing, sales, order fulfillment, customer service, collections, and contact centers.
