Megaworld to build BPO towers in Bacolod
Property developer Megaworld has announced it plans to build two office towers for the BPO sector inside its residential and commercial development The Upper East in Bacolod city. Kevin Tan, Megaworld chief strategy officer, said construction of the PHP1.2bn (USD23m) project will begin next year, with a completion date set for 2022. The two buildings, to be called No. 1 Upper East Avenue and No. 5 Upper East Avenue, will provide around 17,000 square meters of office space targeted at the IT-BPO sector.
Tan said the two new office towers will be the developer’s first office projects in the area, and they look forward to welcoming new BPO locators in the city. He added that they want to promote Bacolod as a prime location for BPO expansion as the city has potential for growth in the BPO industry. The Upper East Avenue towers, which will be operated under the Megaworld Premier Offices brand, will boast state-of-the-art features, making them the most modern offices to be built in the area, said Tan.
