Philippine ICT officials, firms join health info conference
Information and communications technology stakeholders from the Philippines joined the recent Annual Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, USA. Among the delegation were representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry’s Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) and Foreign Trade Service Corps (FTSC), and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). Aside from the government bodies, there were also Philippine firms that participated in the conference, which was held from February 11-15. These companies included Pointwest Technology Corp. USA, ADEC Innovations Healthcare USA, Ascentify Learning Media Inc., Ubicom USA Inc., Multinational Currencies Business Process Outsourcing Inc., Pointwest Innovations Corp., Advanced World Solutions Inc., and ADEC Solutions USA. The conference and exhibit is dubbed as the leading health information and technology conference in the world. It brings together over 45,000 professionals from more than 90 countries, with the aim of using education, innovation, and collaboration to transform health through information and technology.
