Closed $300-million deal with Amdocs to tap AI
PLDT Inc. said it formed a partnership worth $300 Million with Amdocs, a global software company. Their second multimillion-dollar deal in less than one month.
Amdocs will help PLDT and Smart Communications tap AI (Artificial Intelligence) in a 7-year deal. Amdocs will also lend a hand in bringing digital capabilities to sales, customer service, and overall customer experience.
According to Manuel Pangilinan, “Our strategic collaboration with Amdocs is a key component of our digital transformation to enhance customer experience, engagement, and product delivery”.
Globe Telecom, the rival of PLDT, has a budget of $850 for capital expenditures this year. The government is currently pushing for adding a third player in the Philippine Telco industry.
