Sitel teams up with advocacy group to combat HIV

Global customer experience management firm Sitel Philippines has tied up with an HIV advocacy organization, Project Red Ribbon Care Management Foundation, for the launch of the Comprehensive Corporate HIV Program (CHIP). The program will allow the advocacy group to collaborate with corporate partners in widening the reach of HIV advocacy and enhancing the quality of life of people affected with HIV through awareness, resources, treatment, care, and support. CHIP also seeks to help reduce HIV incidence through proper education. Sitel’s Maxicare nurses attended a basic HIV education and awareness training conducted by Project Red Ribbon. Haidee Enriquez, Sitel GM – PH countryside, said that with the growing problem of HIV in the country, Sitel wants to be part of the solution by spreading awareness and breaking the stigma attached to the disease. She added that the company’s partnership with Project Red Ribbon would allow its workforce to share information and provide free testing, care, and support. Sitel Metro Manila set up onsite HIV testing clinics on May 15, while onsite HIV testing clinics for Sitel countryside sites were rolled out on June 1.
