Sonect enters Uzbekistan to build a BPO hub

TASHKENT, UZBEKISTAN — Sonect, the operating entity that emerged when Teleperformance Group’s Russia operations were rebranded, has announced its formal entry into Uzbekistan’s business process outsourcing (BPO) market, planning delivery centers across Tashkent, Samarkand, and Fergana to serve international clients with Russian-speaking talent.
According to a report from IT Park Uzbekistan, the announcement was made at the Global Business Services Forum 2026 (GBSF 2026) following a series of negotiations between Sonect and IT Park Uzbekistan leadership.
Sonect targets Russian-speaking talent for multilingual international delivery
Sonect has been operating since 1999 and brings multilingual delivery capability across dozens of languages including English, Turkish, and Chinese — alongside the Russian-language capacity that anchors its Uzbekistan market thesis.
The company intends to obtain IT Park resident status to establish a modern service center focused on export-oriented delivery, with Tashkent, Samarkand, and Fergana forming a three-city footprint that draws on talent availability across both the capital and Uzbekistan’s second-tier cities.
The entry draws on Teleperformance Group global infrastructure — 490,000-plus employees across 100-plus countries serving 170-plus markets, with €10.3 billion (approximately US$11.2 billion) in 2024 revenues — providing the enterprise client relationships that a rebranded operator needs to win international accounts in a new delivery geography.
Sonect’s service verticals: customer service, technical support, content moderation, Trust and Safety, and back-office, align with the IT-enabled categories that IT Park Uzbekistan has been actively marketing to international BPO buyers.
Sonect’s entry — backed by Teleperformance Group’s 490,000-person global workforce and €10.3 billion revenue base — is among the most credentialed BPO commitments Uzbekistan has received, establishing the market’s viability as an international delivery destination at enterprise scale.
“We see Uzbekistan as a promising regional technology and service hub. Here, we plan to build a team of professionals capable of quickly adapting to changing market demands while delivering a high level of customer service to both Russian and international clients,” said Ekaterina Osina, Chief Executive Officer, Sonect.
IT Park resident status and GBSF 2026 momentum accelerate Sonect’s launch
IT Park Uzbekistan’s resident framework provides Sonect with preferential tax conditions, operational support, and direct government alignment — the structured entry channel that IT Park has used to attract over 1,000 international companies to Uzbekistan’s technology zone.
Sonect’s GBSF 2026 announcement arrived in the same event window as Trenkwalder Group’s parallel Uzbekistan BPO entry discussions, establishing the July 24–25 forum as the venue where two separate European-connected BPO operators each advanced Central Asia market commitments within days of each other.
Sonect’s entry is one of several BPO market commitments announced at or around GBSF 2026 — a concentration of inbound operator interest that marks a shift in how Uzbekistan is positioned in global BPO site-selection conversations, moving from an emerging consideration to a market with active international operator pipelines.
For BPO operators and enterprise buyers tracking Central Asia’s delivery landscape, Sonect’s entry — carrying Teleperformance Group’s global credibility into a market where brand-recognized operators have been absent — establishes Uzbekistan as a destination with tier-one operator backing.
The three-city deployment model and Russian-language focus create a service delivery configuration that traditional GCC and Southeast Asian delivery hubs cannot replicate.
