Telia sells ACE contact-center platform to LeadDesk

SOLNA, SWEDEN — Telia has agreed to sell its ACE Contact Center-as-a-Service (CCaaS) platform to LeadDesk, a European cloud-based contact center provider, in a deal that includes approximately 90 employees transferring to the buyer.
According to a report from Sweden Herald, ACE serves more than 100,000 users across the Nordic region’s private and public sectors. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Telia refocuses on core business with ACE sale
Telia is divesting ACE to concentrate on its core telecommunications business while ensuring the platform’s continued development under specialized ownership.
As part of the deal, Telia and LeadDesk signed a long-term commercial agreement that keeps ACE in Telia’s business-to-business (B2B) portfolio, with Telia retaining full responsibility for existing and new accounts.
“The ACE platform is a highly valued part of Telia’s contact center offering and I am proud of what our teams have built over the years. With its strong Nordic roots, clear focus on contact center technology and corporate culture, LeadDesk is an ideal strategic partner for the next chapter in ACE’s development and a long-term home for the platform,” said Alexandra Fürst, Group Chief Technology and Information Officer at Telia.
LeadDesk to integrate ACE into Nordic platform
ACE’s acquisition positions LeadDesk to broaden its Nordic contact center presence, adding approximately 90 specialists and an established enterprise customer base. The deal advances LeadDesk’s goal of building Europe’s leading artificial intelligence (AI)-powered customer interaction platform, with a strategic focus on voice-based communication.
“ACE is one of the most trusted contact center platforms in the Nordics and we are proud to take responsibility for its continued development. ACE’s customers will continue to receive the same high level of service, while over time they will gain access to our AI capabilities and continued product investments,” said Olli Nokso-Koivisto, CEO at LeadDesk.
The sale reflects a growing pattern among telecom operators of divesting non-core software platforms, as cloud-based CCaaS solutions have matured into a distinct and competitive outsourcing category.
For the Nordic outsourcing market, the deal consolidates contact center capacity under a specialized provider while maintaining service continuity for more than 100,000 existing ACE users.
Deals structured this way, where the seller retains a long-term commercial role post-close, are becoming more common as enterprises seek to monetize platform assets without disrupting customer relationships.
