Valenzuela’s Plastic City development to include BPO offices
Ayala Land’s plan to develop a 60-hectare property into an IT and educational complex has finally been sealed six years after the deal was first announced. The plan is to transform a former plastics manufacturing hub into ‘Plastic City’, a development that will include an educational complex similar to the UP TechnoHub in Quezon City, and buildings that will provide office space for business process outsourcing firms. In 2012, Ayala Land, through its Avida Land operation, signed a deal with Philippine Estates Corporation to develop the old estate. Plastic City Industrial Corp has long ceased its plastic manufacturing activities at the site, but subsidiaries have leased out its warehouse and building facilities.
