Philippines Shared Services And BPO Event Returns In August

An event focusing on the business process outsourcing and shared services sector in the Philippines will celebrate its 10th edition on August 13-16 at the New World Makati Hotel in Manila. This year’s theme of the Philippines Shared Services and BPO Week will focus on the challenges faced by the sector, including innovation and technology, talent – cost and value drivers, change management and continuity of services. Finance assistant secretary Paola Alvarez will lead a panel looking at the effects of tax governance on the shared services and BPO sector in the country. Joining her on the panel are executives from Pepsi Cola Products Philippines, UnionBank of the Philippines, Johnson & Johnson and Bayer Business Services Philippines.
Finance assistant secretary Tony Lambino will also attend the event. He will be discussing what the government is doing to speed up infrastructure development, cultivate a world-class workforce and improve the ease of doing business in the country, while also presenting the government’s Comprehensive Tax Reform Program. The conference attracts more than 200 industry leaders and shared services practitioners.
