GCQ extended for Metro Manila until June 30
President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered an extension of the general community quarantine (GCQ) for Metro Manila until June 30. Cebu City, on the other hand, will revert back to the tighter extended community quarantine (ECQ).
Duterte issued the new directives after he approved the recommendation of the COVID-19 national task force.
In a taped address aired Monday night, Duterte said, “We are gradually easing restrictions to make way for our economic viability as individuals and as a nation, but it does not mean that we will forget our minimum health standards.”
