P20 million BPO project approved by BOI

A P20 million BPO project has been approved by BOI (Board of Investments).
Milenia Data Systems Inc.’s BPO operations was given the go signal by the investment promotion agency. It is anticipated to provide several outsourcing services, most especially medical coding.
With 23 employees since March 2017, Milenia aims to employ up to 88 personnel by 2022.
Trade Undersecretary and BOI Managing Head Ceferino Rodolfo said in a statement: “The Philippines is in a position to take advantage of this outsourcing boom in the health-information management sector. The sector can easily tap the estimated 125,000 annual graduates of allied-medical courses, including at least 80,000 in the nursing, physical therapist, medical technologist and physician professions.”
HIM is the practice of acquiring, storing and evaluating a patient’s medical data in hospital and in other healthcare institutions, making the delivery of quality healthcare to the public.
The call-center sector will still stimulate the majority of the revenue in the BPO operations by 2022 as they do right now. This will be followed by global in-house center with a projected revenue haul of $7.6-billion by 2022.
