Accenture Ventures invests in SpiderOak
NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Accenture, through its venture capital firm Accenture Ventures, has strategically invested in SpiderOak, a leading entity in zero-trust cybersecurity solutions designed for next-generation space systems. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.
Virginia-based SpiderOak’s product suite, OrbitSecure, uses no-knowledge encryption and distributed-ledger technology to address the unique challenges of space cybersecurity. A fully decentralized key management system enables continued operations in space.
“As the space economy grows, we anticipate that global demand for secure communications will soar,” commented Paul Thomas, Space Innovation Lead, Technology Innovation at Accenture.
