NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Custom software development providers Moove IT and December Labs have announced their merger to become Qubika in a move poised to reshape the digital transformation landscape.

With 26 years of combined experience, Moove IT and December Labs will immediately transition into a single enterprise. The newly formed entity, Qubika, will be privately held and headquartered in Texas, with service delivery from locations in the United States and Latin America.

“This is an important, exciting, and timely strategic move for our two companies. Our merger comes at a critical moment when customers are increasingly seeking trustworthy and innovative technology partners to drive effective digital transformation,” stated Moove IT Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ariel Ludueña Karhs.

The merger takes immediate effect, consolidating the two companies into one private entity headquartered in Texas, delivering services from numerous U.S. and Latin America locations.

“The team at December Labs has become known for delivering consistent, high-quality services to customers globally. By combining with Moove IT, we are thrilled to offer our customers new and innovative solutions,” said December Labs CEO Martin Palatnik.

The merger was orchestrated by RECOGNIZE, a New York-based investment fund, in close cooperation with the leadership of both firms. Each company has extensive experience working with high-growth and enterprise clients such as Pluralsight, Unilever, Shopify, ONE, Google, and Nest.

As part of the deal, Charles Phillips, the co-founder and managing partner at RECOGNIZE, who has previously served as the CEO of Infor and president of Oracle, will be appointed to Qubika’s Board of Directors. Fellow Recognize co-founder and managing partner Frank D’Souza, former CEO of Cognizant, will join as a Board observer.

Qubika, will specialize in custom software engineering, data, analytics, UX/UI research, and cloud services. The complete launch of the brand, which will also include the website, is scheduled to take place within the coming months.
