Booming PH IT-BPO sector supports DTI
The Philippines has been experiencing stable economic growth as well as a flourishing business environment for a couple of years now. In the month of February, 2017, three distinguished Philippines personalities: Nora K. Terrado (Department of Trade Undersecretary, Industry Promotion Group), Theresa Dizon-de Vega (Consul General Ma) and Nicanor Bautista (Philippine Senior Trade Representative) extended an invitation to executives and prospective healthcare investors in the United States to attend the Philippine Healthcare Information Management (HIMS) Business Process Offshoring organized at Kalayaan Hall, Philippine Center.
The forum was successful in attracting 50 US firms and potential investors from the medical insurance and healthcare industry in New York City earlier this year. These individuals and companies attended Terrado’s presentations on the Philippine economic report as well as Cristina Coronel’s (HIMAP President) presentation on HIMS Roadmap 2022 and offshoring opportunities in the Philippines.
Mr. John Chess, managing director of KMC Solutions presented a testimonial report called “A US Company’s Offshoring Experience in the Philippines”. A third-party analysis of the Philippines and its position as a leading outsourcing destination for HIMS Services was also presented by Sakshi Garg from Everest Group.
