Demand for office space increasing
JLL Philippines, Country Manager Lindsay Orr stated that the demand for office space has been increasing as BPO service industries want easily accessible workspaces.
JLL Philippines recently acquired 5,400 sqm of office space for Arcadis, a global design, and consultancy company.
David Burgess, Arcadis shared services director said that the office in Manila architects and engineers provide support for the company’s projects in over 70 countries.
According to Lindsay Orr, Arcadis was attracted to the Philippines because of its reliable workforce and low costs of business. Currently, Arcadis office in Manila has 712 employees that are skilled in taking up projects in Australia, Middle East, Asia Pacific, and United Kingdom. It expects to hire an additional 300 employees in the next two years.
