South African outsourcing talents honored at GBS Alchemy Awards 2023
CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA — The Business Process Enabling South Africa (BPESA) recognized outstanding professionals and organizations in the country’s Global Business Services (GBS) sector at the BPESA GBS Alchemy Awards 2023 held in Cape Town on November 9.
The event honored excellent individual achievements across roles like customer service, training, quality assurance, and analysis. Organizations were celebrated for technical innovation, work-from-home solutions, and community impact.

The GBS industry in South Africa is estimated to be worth $4.7 billion annually and employs over 261,000 people. As Africa’s largest GBS hub, the sector collaborates with industry groups like BPESA and the government to foster skill development and position the country as a leading destination for GBS.
