Iloilo City improves ranking in Tholons survey
Iloilo City has jumped one spot higher than its previous ranking in Tholons survey of 100 best outsourcing destinations in the world. The city now occupies the 90th spot. The city’s improved ranking is attributed to the well-educated workforce in the city, this according to the mayor, Jed Patrick Mabilog. Mabilog added that over the past five years, property developers, such as Megaworld Corp and Ayala Land Inc., have poured billions of pesos into Iloilo City to build live-work-play communities. With developers coming in, Mabilog said the city now has an array of spaces for new hotels, restaurants, and offices catering to business process outsourcing companies.
