Megaworld builds school in Cebu, targets BPO children
Listed Philippine property developer Megaworld is opening the Newtown School of Excellence inside the company’s Mactan Newtown township in Cebu. The school is Megaworld’s first foray into the education space. Megaworld Cebu Properties president Noli Hernandez said the school not only cater to the children of the expat community and residents of the city but also the children of those working in nearby business process outsourcing (BPO) companies. The school has been developed with the assistance of the De La Salle Brothers. Mactan Newtown, one of Megaworld’s premier township developments outside of Metro Manila, also features spaces for BPO companies.
