Open Access BPO runs a children’s outreach drive

DAVAO, PHILIPPINES — Open Access BPO has shifted its Davao community outreach from a biennial schedule to an annual commitment as the program enters its fourth year, building on past initiatives that have included a remote school, a dog shelter, and tree planting, according to the company.
Balay Pasilungan staff shaped the donation list
Open Access BPO, a business process outsourcing (BPO) company with operations in Davao since 2015, sent 20 volunteers from its first Davao site to the Foundation of Balay Pasilungan on June 4, delivering clothes and undergarments for each of 18 children under 18, a month’s supply of milk and chocolate drinks, games, and a meal on the day.
Before the drive, Balay Pasilungan staff specified what the children needed, and Open Access donated to that list rather than deciding independently.
According to the company’s website, its first Davao location has operated with more than 200 staff since its 2015 opening, making the 20-person volunteer group a meaningful share of that base.
Annual commitment follows four years of Davao outreach
Open Access BPO has run community outreach in Davao for four years, shifting from a biennial to an annual cadence as the program formalizes its place in the company’s operations.
Past programs have included building a remote school, supporting a dog shelter, and running a tree planting drive.
The company’s Davao footprint expanded in November 2023 when it added a second site at Matina IT Park, giving future programs a broader volunteer base.
For buyers evaluating outsourcing partners in the Philippines, the transition from a periodic event to a structured annual program marks a difference between a one-time gesture and embedded community investment.
Open Access BPO’s approach of asking what a partner organization needs before donating reflects a model of engagement that builds more durable local relationships than supply-driven drives typically do.
Buyers assessing provider stability at provincial locations can treat sustained, need-directed community investment as one indicator of how deeply a company has committed to its operating environment.
