Robinsons to develop new cyberpark in Davao
Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is developing a new cyberpark to cater to the booming business process outsourcing (BPO) industry in Davao. The development was made as a response to the robust growth of the country’s information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) sector which continues to fuel demand for office spaces in the provinces. This demand has led to RLC to aggressively expand its office portfolio and look for other growth areas in urban cities which can support the infrastructure, talent, and other requirements of BPO companies. This expansion is indicative of RLC’s plans to expand its office portfolio not only in Metro Manila, but also in several cities nationwide.
One of the first buildings to be finished in Robinsons Cyberpark Davao is Cybergate Delta which is a five-story building with commercial space on its ground floor. In terms of features and amenities, the building will Mistubishi elevators, VRF air-conditioning system, 100 percent backup power, 24/7 security personnel equipped with CCTV surveillance, fire sprinklers and smoke detectors, LED lights in common areas and multiple telecom service providers.
Davao City has been recognized by the government and BPO stakeholders as a “Center of Excellence” for ICT-BPM operations in 2016.
