Accenture gets government, industry honors
Accenture has been recognized by government officials and its industry for its commitment to the environment and for developing and supporting its employees. The firm was given the Environmental Performance Award by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) last month for its initiatives in caring for the environment. The award is given to companies that adopt an environmental management system, continuously comply with environmental regulations, and display continued improvement in waste management, energy and material use, water preservation and restoration, and air pollution prevention. Accenture’s environmental honor follows its Best Employer of the Year award at the annual International ICT Awards Philippines in March for its initiatives in developing talent, advancing inclusion and diversity, and supporting employee welfare. The award is given to a company that has demonstrated leadership in advancing employee potential and success by institutionalizing a talent-led approach that creates a workforce that is more diverse, inclusive, and prepared for the future. Lito Tayag, managing director for Accenture in the Philippines, said they are honored to receive the awards from PEZA and the IT-BPM industry.
