Clark Gateway to Drive Growth in PH
Global Gateway Development Corp. (GGDC) is the global firm responsible for developing Clark Gateway City. The master-planned property has emerged as the hub of all economic activity in Central Luzon that has a huge population of educated, skilled and young workforce. The median age of the Philippines economy is only 23 years and this is helped it grow faster than any other economy in the world.
According to Mark Williams, chief executive, GGDC, the master plan incorporates parks as well as open spaces, and the site also has a modern sewage system. This allows the city to remain livable, disaster-prepared and also minimizes environmental impact.
In 2014, Clark Gateway City witnessed the launch of the Medical City Hospital which brings high quality healthcare standards from the Philippines to Central Luzon. Right next to the hospital is the University of the Philippines campus which is being developed into a large, permanent three-hectare space.
The vision behind Clark is to tap the education youth of the Philippines to drive sustained future growth. The literate, young and English-speaking Filipino population has been the primary attraction for global outsourcing firms to invest in the Philippines.
